How to Massage Foot by Foot Spa Massager
Immerse your feet into water around 37°C, then gradually heat the water to 42°C or so. The water usually is higher than the ankle, and you need to rub your feet. The time of foot spa should not less than 30 minutes (40 minutes is recommended). You can also add some solution (you can dilute it with water) made from Chinese medicine before starting such foot spa. Other recommendations are as follows:

1. Adjust the temperature to appropriate level (recommended temperature is 40-45°C) to prevent hot water from burning the skin. You’d better gradually heat the water up to the required temperature.

2. 30 to 40 minutes is the recommended time of foot spa massage. Keep the water warm during the massage, especially when you are doing a therapeutic foot bath. Only by keeping the temperature constant and making sure the time of massage can you have the best effect of therapy.

3. Proper physical stimulation during the foot spa, like massaging, kneading, rubbing, etc. can help to achieve better effect.

4. Do not do foot bath massage within 30 minutes before or after meal, because foot spa massage before meal may refrain the secretion of gastric fluid and adversely affect digestion. Foot spa massage after meal will stimulate blood vessels in the sole to expand and increase blood volume, thus reducing the blood in the stomach and influencing your digestion.

5. Some medication used in a therapeutic foot bath may cause blister, redness, pruritus or allergy. If any of such symptoms occurs, you should immediately stop using such medication.

6. Medication used in a therapeutic foot bath is usually for external use, and after a therapeutic foot spa, please clean and dry the affected part.

7. People suffer from infectious skin disease (for example tinea pedis) should pay attention to cross infection. It’s recommended that each family member uses his/her own foot bath massager to avoid cross infection or transmission of infectious disease.

8. Foot spa massage will stimulate blood vessels in the sole to expand and increase blood volume, thus resulting in acute anemia of the brain and making you feel dizzy. In this case, you can use cold water for foot bath to relieve the anemia.

9. People suffer from symptoms like bleeding are not recommended to do foot spa massage.

People who are not recommended to do foot spa massage:

1.People with severe heart disease, thrombus or cerebral hemorrhage;
2.People suffer from foot inflammation, skin disease, trauma or skin scald;
3.People with hemorrhagic disease, septicemia, etc.;
4.The pregnant;
5.Children (with the help of adult);
6.People who have lost consciousness or who are insensitive to temperature (control the temperature to avoid scalding)
